Lay out of rafters is not much different than the lay out of braces. Still, everything gets double checked before it is cut to minimize 'firewood' at the end of the day!

Just working on more plan details for our building over the weekend. It's a good lesson in knowing where all the components go and we'll all know all the measurements in our head! During the week we also made up the materials list with a price quote for labor and materials.
A classmate was inspecting some damage to the roof at the hotel at the ski hill. Snow has been a blessing this year for the ski area, however the sudden warm spell will make this an expensive repair. Too bad the logs were only decorative! (left)
