Some people have pets they like to take on the water, but can't quite all fit in the usual double or single. A large dog can be a comfortable paddling companion when it has room to stretch out.
The bow is designed to reduce the resistance of the hull cutting through water and should be tall enough to prevent water from easily washing over the top of it. :)
Taking inventory of all the plywood. It's the highest quality, most beautiful, marine plywood, 4mm, British Standard (BS) 1088 Okoume plywood, an African mahogany.
I layed out and then glued the precision pre-cut panels to their full lengths & let the epoxy cure.
It's a simple butt joint which is clamped together with a piece of scrap 3/4 " ply while the epoxy/fibreglass cures. A sheet of mylar keeps things from sticking together that aren't supposed to!
The reverse side of the joint where the epoxy seeped through. This will get sanded and epoxied with a strip of fibreglass cloth as well.
