Some pictures of my bikes past and present. Being bavariaboy, you have to ride a BMW. Although I suspect it has more to do with my preference for fine engineering. Many trips to the Yukon and Alaska have proved the BMW's worth. My early BMW, the 1100 GS had already been to The bottom of South America and up to Alaska and back to Vancouver, British Columbia! Some more trips to come in the future!

1995 BMW 1100 GS, Had a prior life as a Victoria City Police bike used to escort the Queen during her Commonwealth visit.
During one of three trips to Alaska and the Yukon on the Top of The World Highway..
Just off the showroom fresh! Used, but like NEW still! 2003 BMW 1150 GS. The GS refers to either Gelände/Straße(German: off-road/road) Makes Sense!
Another ride on the Dempster Highway to Inuvik. Long stretches of limited services make you appreciate the dependability of this beast.
Rush drummer and lyricist Neil Peart used a R1100GS for a 14 month long 55,000 mile self-healing trip, documented in the book Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road, that he made in the late 90's following the tragic deaths of his only daughter and wife. Peart also used the R1150GS on his 2004 motorcycle trip between gigs on Rush's 30th Anniversary tour, a trip he documented in the book Roadshow: Landscape with Drums, A Concert Tour By Motorcycle.
